Day 2 – Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park (120 kms) with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffe and zebra. In the late Afternoon drive to Karatu.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House
Day 3: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
You will descend into this amazing crater’s interior today. Stay on the crater floor all day. Since almost all of the wildlife in Ngorongoro Crater resides within the crater walls, you can find the game rather quickly. Lunch can be had beside the hippo pond. This is good elephant country, so keep your eyes peeled. By the side of the nearby swampland is what is sometimes called the ‘elephant graveyard’ as the mighty male tuskers at the end of their lives come to chew on the soft, swampland grasses once their teeth have failed them.

Day 4 & 5: Karatu – Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, collect picnic lunch and drive to Serengeti National Park. On arrival, you will enjoy our lunch before taking an afternoon game drive. After lunch proceed with afternoon game drive till late afternoon before sunset and you’ll make your way to your lodge for dinner and overnight. In the second day in Serengeti, you will have an option either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drive with your packed lunch and return back to the Lodge late afternoon. Or you can depart for an early morning game drive. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. Following a long game drive, you will make your way to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6, 7,8 & 9: Zanzibar
You will be transported to the Seronera airfield early on day 6, so that you can catch a flight to Zanzibar via Arusha. You will be welcomed at Zanzibar Airport upon arrival and driven to your accommodation where you can unwind and breathe in the sea air! Enjoy this stunning island paradise for three days. Explore Stone Town’s history and architecture, go snorkeling or scuba diving, kitesurf, swim with dolphins, go on a spice tour, go dhow sailing, or just relax on the beach. You can choose how active or leisurely you want your Zanzibar extension to be. You can book every activity through your hotel for an extra fee.

Day 2: ARUSHA – NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After Breakfast collect picnic lunch, depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s 154 km from Arusha. Descending in the Crater floor for a game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is a deep, volcanic crater and the largest unbroken caldera in the world. About 20 kilometers (12 miles) across, 600 meters (1,969 feet) deep and 300 square kilometers (186 square miles) in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. Within the crater rim large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures living alongside the wildlife as they have for centuries.
Your game drive today will be like no other as you visit one of the most dramatic safari destinations in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast at your hotel collect picnic lunch, depart and drive towards Serengeti National Park with game en route. The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania that stretches over 14,763 km². It is located entirely in eastern Mara Region and northeast portion of Simiyu Region and contains over 15,000,000 hectares of virgin savanna. The park was established in 1940.
Arrive at the Lodge for Dinner and overnight at Melia Serengeti Lodge in Melia Savannah Panormaic or similar. Meal plan: FB
Day 4 : SERENGETI TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel, today choose to either partake in a full day game drive into the heart of the Central Serengeti with a picnic lunch or remain close to the lodge with morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti is one of the best places to see large predators. Our experienced guides know every inch of the park where morning and afternoon game drives are focused the variety of game in the park. Should you wish, we can arrange for a full day out in the bush on safari. The bird life is particularly good on the forest edge – where woodpeckers and brightly – colored kingfishers can often be seen. Day 5: SERENGETI – ZANZIBAR

Day 8: TRANSFER TO ZANZIBAR AIRPORT

Day 2: Arusha – Arusha National Park – Arusha
After breakfast, it will take you 40 km to travel to Arusha National Park from your accommodation in Arusha. Once you get there a park ranger will be with us as you select a route based on what the little but Lovely Park has to offer today and how far you might wish to walk.Your park ranger may show the aardvarks’ deep burrows or describe how one acacia tree sends out a warning smell to nearby acacias.
Be on the lookout for zebra, duiker, giraffe and hippo. The black-and-white colobus monkey is a favorite in this park, while in the skies, egrets and sacred ibis can often be observed. Even the trees have a story to tell. You might meet the aptly named strangler fig, which sucks the life out of other trees. pends years sucking the life out of its victim – perhaps an unsuspecting juniper. You might encounter warthog and buffalo, often seen together, with the former possessing a good sense of sight and hearing, while the buffalo relies on smell to alert to impending danger. A perfect symbiosis.You might also have the chance to visit one of the park’s picturesque waterfalls, such as Talulusia, as it plummets 30 meters down to a rocky base.After our walking safari, you will enjoy our well-earned lunch, before embarking on our afternoon game drive.

Overnight Arusha— Planet Lodge
Day 3: Arusha – Lake Manyara
After breakfast, you drive 130 kilometers from Arusha to Lake Manyara for game drive. Your eyes will be opened to the variety of colors and characteristics of Tanzania as you travel; you may even see some Maasai shepherds moving their goat flocks to fresh pastures.
On arrival, you continue in your vehicle to cover the highlights of this scenic park. Set against the rugged Rift Valley escarpment, and characterised by its shimmering lake, Manyara is rich in vegetation and the wildlife that thrives here. Enjoy the tranquility as majestic pink flamingos wade elegantly, picking out a meal of algae from the shallow, alkaline waters. On land, Manyara’s terrain is compact, yet boasts differing environments such as diverse forests fed by waters seeping from the nearby escarpment. Monkeys are abundant, but look out too for the lions, giraffe, warthog and grumpy Cape buffalo who all call this park ‘home’. Hold your nose when we reach the hippo pool, because these big lumps smell!
You take lunch at the Lake Manyara picnic sites, before setting out on a further game drive. The eventful day comes to an end with dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti
After breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes for the Serengeti as your destination and your mind filled with wonderful memories of Manyara, we set out on (222km) journey to the Serengeti. On the way, you will be enchanted by the colors of everyday Tanzanian life, the different faces of the tribesmen, their herds, and the bustle of the transport, the vibrant roadside stalls and markets. Soon, however, the human habitation gives way to the Serengeti plains.
At long last! The Serengeti, Tanzania’s unmatched wonder, will serve as the backdrop for the wild animal performances that will take place over the next days.Your game drive here combines the known with the unknown, the certainty that you will be amazed with the uncertainty of exactly what you will see and when. Changing light, a changing cast of animal actors, ensuring that at every turn there is a new experience. Take some great pictures, but don’t forget to simply take a moment to breathe deeply and soak in the unadulterated beauty of nature.

Overnight Serengeti: Serengeti Pure Tented Camp
Day 5: Serengeti
After breakfast, you’ll have a full day of discovery, a chance to enjoy the varied landscapes of the Central Serengeti. The Seronera River weaves its way through the Serengeti, providing waters for all species of wildlife. You will also see the distinctive rocky outcrops, the famous kopjes which characterize the Serengeti landscape. Kopjes are very hard and often granite. They have been aged at maybe 600 million years old and created even before the earth’s surface was pushed up from the ocean. Lions and other cats frequent these stony places and they are also home to snakes and hyraxes. Slowly weathering in wind and rain, they are peeling off in layers, which you may see on close inspection. The eventful day comes to an end with dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Overnight Serengeti: Serengeti Pure Tented Camp
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro Crater (145 kms) for full day game drive in the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animals. In the evening, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. You will drive to Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House
Day 7: Karatu – Tarangire
Early-breakfast, and thereafter with your packed lunch boxes drive south to Tarangire National Park ( 200kms) for full day game drive. Tarangire is big. It reaches as far as the eye can see to the south when you stand at the park’s entrance.
This extraordinary park, also known as the “Elephant Garden,” is home to sizable herds of these powerful animals. But Tarangire is also home to buffalo, lion, wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and the park can rival Serengeti for sheer animal densities. What might you see today? Perhaps a solitary male lion stretched out beneath a tree, perhaps a trio of male cheetah enjoying some lazy bonding-time in the sun. Maybe some graceful Grant’s gazelle or zebra bounding away from the road or a couple of giraffes munching happily from the choicest acacia branches. In the late afternoon before sunset you’ll end your game drive and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Tarangire – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti
After delicious breakfast, you travel towards the Serengeti (290 kms) to reach our lodge near the Seronera area in the afternoon. The Serengeti is a vast wilderness area where the savannah never seems to end. Many spectacular nature films have been shot here. The reason is simple—this is probably the world’s most game-rich area.
The majestic Ngorongoro Crater will be seen as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before continuing on to the Serengeti National Park, where you will arrive at around noon. The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s biggest park, and it has a range of habitats and environments, including grassy plains, lakes, swamps, and savannahs. Following a long game drive, you will make your way to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, both morning and afternoon are spent on safari in the Serengeti. The annual great migration is undoubtedly the Serengeti’s most well-known characteristic, despite the fact that it is home to a wide range of wildlife. The exact location and timing of the migration are determined by each year’s rainfall patterns. Day 3: Tarangire full day
You may have thought that you have seen all that Tarangire has to offer, but you will certainly enjoy some new experiences as we explore the park further in our morning game-drive.
The varied terrain in itself could be considered a wonder, with riverine woodlands and grasslands, acacia and baobab. Amazingly, some 550 bird species have been recorded here, and it won’t be long before an air-bound blaze of color alerts you to something interesting. You might recognize an ostrich or a stork, but if you can’t identify the smaller species, there’s no need to worry – that is what your expert driver-guide is here for!
The birds are exotic and so are the names: what about the ‘white-bellied go-away bird’ or the ‘Madagascar bee-eater’ for example? But of course, we will also see plenty more large mammals on a typical day.

Day 4: Tarangire – Lake Manyara

Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge
Day 5: Lake Natron
After breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes, depart towards Lake Natron. It located about 120 kms drive away from Mto Wa Mbu/Manyara, Lake Natron is a surreal destination and unique natural spectacle. Its waters are highly alkaline and are unusually shallow, averaging just one meter in depth. After checking into your lodge and a short break, put your walking shoes on as a Maasai tribesman escorts you to the Ngare Sero waterfalls and relax in the cool spray of water cascading down the rocks of this scenic ravine. Thereafter take a walk around the shores of the Lake on the lookout for birds, especially the lesser flamingos. Lake Natron is the most important and regular breeding site for lesser flamingos in East Africa hosting up to 2 million of them during the breeding season. After the hike, you will head back to your camp/lodge for a well-deserved dinner and a night stay.

Day 6: Lake Natron – Serengeti
After your delicious breakfast, head out towards the Serengeti National Park (160 kms). This road trip takes you through a variety of sites: towns and villages, savannah, and you’ll be able to spot animals like antelope, wildebeest and zebra. You will arrive at the Serengeti in the afternoon. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an en route game drive in the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest depend, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 7 & 8: Serengeti full day
Today you have an option either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drive with your packed lunch and return back to the Lodge late afternoon. Or you can depart for an early morning game drive. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. The long day comes to a gratifying end with a good dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for full day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. You will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House
Day 10: Karatu – Lake Eyasi – Karatu
After breakfast, you depart for Lake Eyasi (40kms) to visit the bush men and observe their activities such as hunting and wild fruits gathering. The Hadzabe and Datoga tribesmen are indigenous ethnic groups in north-central Tanzania. They live in Lake Eyasi in the central rift valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau. The Hadzabe and Datoga people are hunter-gatherers and blacksmiths respectively. After lunch, drive back to your lodge in Karatu for a leisurely coffee tour in the afternoon.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House
Day 11: Ngorongoro – Kilimanjaro International Airport.
After breakfast, drive to Arusha Coffee Lodge for lunch and thereafter transfer to the Airport for your outbound flight.
