Simba - Lion

On average 2.50 m long (including the tail) and a little more than 1 m high, can reach a weight of 260 kg.

The lion is gregarious, territorial and social organization of the herd is matriarchal. If an adult male lion enters a new pack, having driven out or killed the enemy and the first male to mate with new females, kills all the puppies of the pack. In this way you ensure that the females come into heat again and that his DNA to continue.

The lion moves for hunting, usually during sunset. During the chase the degree of cooperation of the pack is awesome. While reaching a speed of 65 km-times its resistance to race is very limited but the technique of hunting in packs is almost always efficient. Usually kills breaking the spine of the victim with a powerful paw and sinking his teeth into his throat.

The roaring sound is unmistakable and overwhelming and impressive. Usually can be heard at distances of 8 km.
